Varsity Cricket at Lords 2019

Roger Knight OBE, former president of the MCC, Ali Dewhurst (St Paul’s and Robinson), Captain and David Saunderson, Chief Executive of Cantab Asset Management, present the Blues Caps to the Cambridge team prior to the Varsity Match at Lord’s on Tuesday 28 May 2019.

The match was brought forward this year into May because of the Cricket World Cup starting on 1 June 2019.

Oxford won the toss, chose to bat and achieved 227 runs in their 50 overs.  Cambridge batted after lunch and after a thrilling afternoon, Oxford won by 56 runs.

The Varsity Women’s Cricket match is to be held at The Parks on 22 June as exams meant the Lord’s date was not possible.
