David Saunderson, Chief Executive of Cantab – pictured on the right – presented the Award for M&A Team of the Year (Large Deal) to Baker McKenzie for their work on the $11bn acquisition by Hitachi of the ABB Power Grids business. ABB’s Power Grids unit makes power transformers, long-distance transmission systems for power, and also designs energy storage units.
