Over the last decade, we have hired graduates from a variety of leading universities with progression through our graduate scheme to Chartered status and Director level in the firm.

The Role

The role is based in the company’s Cambridge office and involves working in both financial planning and investment management across advisory and discretionary services. Tasks will include drafting correspondence and reports, monitoring portfolios and meeting with clients (under supervision), and assisting with research into current and potential recommended investments.

At Cantab, graduates will be expected to make a real contribution to the business from the start.

Training

Believing in the importance of professional development, Cantab will support trainees to take industry-recognised exams. All trainees will first take the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (a QCF Level 4 qualification) and may then take further qualifications as appropriate. There will also be regular internal training.

Apply Now!

Any degree discipline will be considered, but applicants should have, or be expecting, at least a 2:1. All applicants will have to take mathematics and general financial knowledge tests at interview. In addition, you will need to have a proven ability to work in a team and to produce diligent, error-free work. A professional ‘can do’ attitude in the office and when meeting clients is essential. Successful candidates will demonstrate integrity, strong technical abilities, and good social skills.
